Club Structure.

 

Part 1:

 

How does your club operate? How is your club organised and who organises it? What management roles do you have in your club?

 

Instructions:   In the box below please complete a simple Management Committee structure diagram that demonstrates how your club operates.

Part 2:

 

How does your club function week to week? How often do the committees in your club meet?

 

Instructions: For each question asked below please complete a response that is correct for your cricket club.

 

Question 1: How often does each of your club committees meet per year / season? (Maximum 150 words)

 

Management Committee - meets 6 times per year (reduced from the 8 quoted in the above diagram)

Cricket Committee - meets 6 times per year as outlined in the structure chart above

Youth Committee - meets 5 times per year as outlined in the structure chart above

Development Committee - will meet up to 4 times per year as outlined in the structure chart above.

Social Committee - will meet on an ad-hoc basis as required

 

Question 2: What written information is produced by each committee / sub committee / working group and who produces this written information? (Maximum 150 words)

 

For all committees, the club Secretary circulates a proposed agenda and appropriate reading ahead of each meeting and takes formal minutes, distributing them within one week of the meeting.

The club Treasurer produces a financial summary at each Management Committee meeting.

The agreed Development Plan forms the basis of the agenda at each Development Committee meeting.

 

Question 3: How does each committee communicate to the other committees and to club members? (Maximum 200 words)

 

Each sub-committee chair is represented on the Management Committee and escalates any issues or important information.

The minutes of the sub-committees are forwarded to the Management Committee members ahead of their meetings and there is the opportunity to challenge and ask questions as part of the Management Committee agenda.

Minutes of all committee meetings are available from the club Secretary to any club member on request and this is made clear on the club's website.
