Under 15 team news

A really good season for the 'B' squad who developed an excellent team spirit under the leadership of Phil Knight and the captaincy of Josh Boulton. A record of won 4, lost 4 does not do the team justice. Two of the defeats were in lack-lustre games against Frome, whilst they were defeated by Lansdown from the higher division in the cup. The highlight was probably defeating Bath 2 in the rain although the Bath side did reverse the result when they visited Biddestone at the end of the season. Biddestone batted first and were off to a slow start and a few early wickets had us down but not out at 13-2 of 7 overs. Some resistance was made by the Bradford captain. However it was in vain as they reached 50 from their 20 overs. Nearly all of the bowlers took wickets but the highlight was Andy Flynn on his Biddestone debut taking 2-7. Two superb catches each from Chris and Stewart rounded of an excellent win.

Tuesday 7th June Lansdown On Tuesday, the B side played in the first round of the Bath Youth League knock-out cup against Lansdown, from a division higher. Unfortunately Lansdown reached 91 for 2 and depsite the efforts of jamie Penton (21) and Paul Walden (14), the reply could only reach 56 all out.
