Congratulations to the Development Side which beat a very strong Hawksbury Upton team to win the Malmesbury Village League 20/20 cup. The Hawksbury side included a number of Stroud first team players, so Clint Bowyer was drafted in to strengthen the line-up, but the team still had 6 players under 19 and all were under 25.
Tom Sorsby bowled a fiery spell of 2 for 20 from five overs to keep the opposition to 159-9 from their 20 overs. Thanks to Clint (99 not out) and Ben McElhinney (20 not out), the target was reached with 3 overs to spare. Well done to all.
