The
Under 15's proved what a strong outfit they are, with just a single defeat in the Bath
League and a good cup run which was only ended by the formidable Lansdown team. The most
notable results was probably the crushing of Calne and the ten wicket victory against a
good Westbury team, finished off by Kris Beasley hitting the winning runs left-handed!
Many players benefited
from exposure to senior cricket including Kris Beasley and Yan Klukowski who both played
for the first team, Aaron Pierce played regular second team games and Chris Lawton and
Chris Smith were the backbone of the thirds.The team welcomed the return of Ben
Littlejohns and there was a good team spirit throughout the season.
it is hoped that the
majority of the players will take the successes of 2002 forward into Under 17 games and
senior cricket in 2003.
